Botswana Expedition Round Trip 15 Nights 16 Days Kasane - Kasane

Our great 16 day safari to experience the dry and wet land of Botswana landscape to enables all our visitors to see different species of animals in the KAZA region, small and big all their behaviours.

Day 1: – We meet up in Kasane around 0900 hours’ have a briefing about the trip and drive to Nata which will last for about 8 hours before we at our campsite, we might see a lot of wildlife on our way to the campsite, lunch will be served en route and we will arrive at the campsite in the evening to meet with the rest of the team waiting with well come ice cold drinks. Dinner will be served after settling and the fire will be available to help us enjoy the Clear African Sky in the middle of the untouched wilderness.

Day 2: Early wake up, morning breakfast and leave campsite around 0700 hours for a morning game drive which will last for about 5 hours before we go back for lunch at our campsite. After lunch we will have time to rest and around 1530 hours, we will go out for Village Tour.

Day 3: We wake up early, have morning breakfast, and drive to Nxai Pans, which will be a full day drive, lunch served en-route around Baines Baobab trees which is a historical place of Cecil Rhodes resting under the iconic trees, and we will arrive at the campsite around sunset.

Day 4: Wake up early for breakfast and go out for a morning game drive which will last for about 4 to 5 hours depending on the sightings and come back for lunch in camp around 1200 hours followed by the siesta time and also do our last afternoon session which will last till sunset and come back for dinner which will be served till late hours with our great team.

Day 5:
Early morning wake up for breakfast and get ready for our game drive and drive back to Maun arriving around 1600 hours for scenic flight which will be optional, lunch will be served en-route but all beverages will be available.

Day 6:
We meet at your hotel or lodge and drive to Southern part of Moremi Game Reserve in Okavango Delta which will be a full day’ drive, lunch served en-route and we will arrive around sunset.

Day 7: Wake up early for breakfast and go out for a morning game drive which will last for about 5 hours depending on the sightings and come back for lunch in camp around 1200 hours followed by the siesta time and also do our last afternoon session which will last till sunset and come back for dinner which will be served till late hours by our great team.

Day 8:
Still in Okavango Delta we will start early in the morning after breakfast and drive to the Dugout Canoeing Station for the water experience which will last for about a couple of hours, will be another great adventure. After the water activity we then head to our new campsite situated on the Northern part of Okavango Delta for lunch which will be also part of the game drive. Afternoon game drive will be around 1500 hours till sunset.

Day 9:
We start our day early in the morning and have breakfast before we go out for a morning game drive which will last for about 5 hours before we go back to our campsite for lunch, we then have lunch and have a couple of hours rest before we go out for our afternoon game drive. The drive will be about 3 hours, we then come back to the campsite for dinner which will be served till late hours.

Day 10:
Early morning wake have breakfast before we go out for our morning game drive, this will drive end us in Mababe, a very beautiful are area which is the Southern part of Chobe national. This place is well known as Mababe Depression and thus where the largest channel of the Okavango Delta disappears into the ground, this attracts large herds of buffaloes and elephants and not forgetting the lions which enjoys following large numbers of grazers. Huge open areas and best area for viewing animals from a distance. We will get to the campsite in the evening to enjoy the African sky and the roaring of lions.

Day 11:
We will wake up early in the morning and have breakfast and go out for great morning game drive targeting predators on a hunt, this will last for about 5 hours before we come back to the campsite for lunch, siesta and resume another afternoon game drive which will go on until sunset.

Day 12:
Our drive to Savuti will be conducted as morning game drive. We will travel above 140 kilometres to get to the campsite which is a full day drive and lunch will be served en route. Savuti is in Chobe National Park which is 10,878 square kilometres large The Savuti Marsh is the relic of a large inland lake whose water supply was cut a long time ago by tectonic movements. We will be in the campsite in the evening around sun set.

Day 13:
On the full day of our stay in Savuti we will do morning and afternoon game drive starting early in the morning after breakfast till 11:30 hours and 15:00 hours for the afternoon game drive till sunset.

Day 14:
Early morning breakfast and we drive to Chobe River Front which will be a full day. Lunch will be served en-route. The drive will be about 142kms to campsite going through the Park and 30kms of sealed road where you will see a few villages before we reach our campsite which will situated inside the national park.
Day 15: We wake early in the morning and have breakfast and go out for our game drive which will end with the boat cruise on the Chobe River where we might see a vast amount of birds and animals such as hippos, crocodiles, puku and sable antelope.

Day 16:
Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast and go out for our last drive also heading out of the park for a drop off in Kasane.

What to Bring Luggage

A soft bag or rucksack as they are easier to pack.

One item of hand luggage (e.g. a small backpack) which can be kept at your feet for easy access during activities. Please do not exceed 20 kg of luggage. Clothing & Equipment

Flashlight with spare batteries and bulbs. A head torch is a good idea as it keeps your hands free.

Hat or cap. A wide-brimmed hat is best to shade your face and neck.

Scarf and gloves during winter as we can experience very low temperatures. Warm fleece and windbreaker jacket. Windproof during the winter months (May – Sept), waterproof during the summer months (Oct – Mar).

Swimming costume. You may like a swim when visiting a lodge or either pre or post safari.

Natural colour clothing (i.e. no white or bright colour clothing). Bring T-shirts, shorts, a pair of lightweight long trousers and a lightweight long sleeve shirt (long sleeves are extremely useful for sun protection during the day and mosquito protection during the evening).

Comfortable walking shoes and sandals.

Camera equipment, binoculars and batteries. Bring spare memory cards for digital cameras as the opportunity to download photos is limited.

Adaptors for cables, chargers, USB, etc. Please label them so as to avoid confusion on safari.

Small, spare power bank so you can recharge your camera batteries.

Water bottle. Personal Toiletry items & Medication

Sunscreen.

Malaria prophylactics. Please consult your doctor before your safari.

Mosquito repellent.

Water proof/zip lock bags for storing personal items to keep dry and dust free.
