In private concessions, like Khwai Concession Area, mokoro trips (traditional canoes) are available either in the morning or afternoon, when ever preferable to the guest. The drive to the mokoro station, where our Mokoros are kept is also considered as a game drive. There is a vast amount of animals, birds and beautiful plants to be seen along the way.

In the Chobe National Park and Moremi Game Reserve (Xakanaxa) there is the opportunity to do a boat cruise and snacks and drinks are available while cruising down the river. The drive to the boat depends on where we are camping and is treated as a game drive.

Rodgers was born on 18th November 1971 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, he grew up & went to school in this small, picturesque resort town. His studies included art specializing in screen printing and curio carving.
After high school Rodgers joined Makasa Sun Hotel now called the Kingdom Hotel where he was trained as a waiter and barman. His love of nature was sparked when he became a member of the Mosi oa Tunya Wildlife and Conservation Club whose primary aim was to inspire and nurture wildlife enthusiasts amongst the local youth in the town.
He went on to become the chairperson of the club due to his commitment to nature. He used to go out in the Hwange National Park after every three months with park warderns & professional guides. He learnt a lot about the fauna and flora during these nature excursions. His biggest support came from his father who was actually working as a Park Warden and covered such areas as the Zambezi national park, Matopos and Tshabalala Game Sanctuary.
Rodgers ‘s dream was to become a professional guide. He joined Frontiers Rafting Company working as an assistant foreman. He wanted to raise enough money to buy a guides study pack, a must have for anyone aspiring to be a guide.
In 1994 lady luck seemed to be smiling on Rodgers when he found a job with Afro Ventures safari (& Beyond) in Botswana. He did all sorts of duties i.e heavy duty driving, waiter, barman, camp assistant in mobile safaris which ran for 28 day periods starting from Chobe National Park to the Moremi and Kalahari Reserves. This period became part of his guide training and propelled him to where he is right now.
